Trained in the UK and Bangladesh with dual-qualification to practice, Acharjee’s legal career spans over two decades. Acharjee received his graduate (LLB Honours) and postgraduate (LLM) law degrees from the University  of Chittagong. He qualified as a Solicitor of the senior courts of England and Wales following his qualifying studies at the BPP Law School. As a Solicitor in the senior Courts of England and Wales, and as an Advocate with the Supreme Court of Bangladesh — he practised in a number of law firms before S & K Law Solicitors.  Saikat Acharjee served his clients in an impressively wide range of areas, including for example, housing, tenancy, immigration, commercial leases, employment to name a few. He represented them frequently and successfully before Administrative bodies, Tribunals, and Courts. Notably, during his 10 years of immigration and asylum law practice, he has dealt with — human rights claims, entry clearance, permanent residence, Points-Based System, emergency injunctions to prevent removal and deportation. Acharjee is particularly well-versed in formulating grounds, so far with a 100% success rate, for Judicial Reviews, and for appeals to the Upper-tier Tribunal and the Court of Appeal.

They are — compassion and respect for individuals, sensibility of advice, integrity of one’s own words, sincerity in undertaking assignments, and delivering legal service to the utmost satisfaction. These personal rules defined his professional traits which not only shaped the way he fosters client relationships, but they also inevitably guided him as a moral compass in his day-to-day work. A keen observer of UK and global politics, Acharjee regularly participates in discussions on social justice, immigration policy, genocide recognition, climate change to name a few. An avid reader, passionate trekker, and enthusiast of musical classics, Acharjee loves spending time with family and close circle of friends.
